Ms Beffy Yew graduated from University Sains Malaysia with an honours degree in Construction Management in 2013. Having bonded with YTL as a scholar, she started her career with YTL Construction as a site engineer on a high-rise building construction project, with a focus on project management and scheduling duties.

While working at YTL, Beffy developed a keen interest in construction planning and scheduling. Subsequently she joined MMC-GAMUDA to enhance her working experience in MRT construction works, working as part of the construction planning team for the underground tunnelling and station works.

In 2017 Beffy joined CSi’s forensic delay and planning team, where she regularly performs EOT assessment / delay analysis assignments, assists with delay expert witness report, and the preparation of adjudication and arbitration submissions. Recent appointments include assisting delay expert in an arbitration for a number of major mixed development projects, the renovation works of a private hospital project, assisting counsel in arbitration for a claim of wrongful Liquidated Damages imposition against the employer of a factory construction project, as well as acting as party representative in adjudication proceedings.

Beffy continued her professional development by qualifying as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK and the Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators. She is certified to act as Adjudicator for statutory adjudication under the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act (CIPAA) in Malaysia. 

Apart from her regular portfolio of work, Beffy assists in the presentation of public workshops and seminars on delay, extension of time and loss & expense, as well as being responsible for organising in-house training for CSi staff.
