Ms Chong Sau Wee has over 20 years of experience working with international contractors and consultants in the industry producing valuations related to a range of claims, including delay and disruption, prolongation, variations and other monetary claims on variety of projects including building, infrastructure, power, utilities, oil & gas and transportation in both project delivery and dispute resolution.

Sau Wee began her career working as a quantity surveyor at various international construction companies and quantity surveying firms where she gain experience in preparation and submissions of progress claims, variation claims, preparation of tender documents and quantity surveyor services for design & build projects.

In recent years Sau Wee specialises in providing quantum and delay expert services for dispute resolution via adjudication, arbitration and litigation. She is skilled in the review of voluminous amounts of data to produce valuations related to a range of claims, including delay and disruption, prolongation, variations and other monetary claims. 

Recent notable appointments include acting as quantum expert witness for a disputed RM136 Million industrial building project, a disputed RM60 Million water distribution works contract, and she provided quantum claims advice for a RM1.2 Billion luxury mixed development project where the contractor’s employment was determined. Sau Wee recently co-counselled an arbitration for an industrial plant project concerning counterclaims for defective works.

Sau Wee also undertake non-contentious advisory work on construction projects for both employers and contractors. Her recent portfolio include the Senada Residences @ KLGCC Resort , and a major data centre project in Cyberjaya.

A Chartered Quantity Surveyor and a practising expert witness, Sau Wee is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators UK, the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators, a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors UK and the Academy of Experts UK. She is certified to act as Adjudicator for statutory adjudications under the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act (CIPAA) in Malaysia.
