NORLINA MOHD SAAD

Puan Norlina Saad embarked on her professional journey in 2008. After earning her bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying, her early career involved managing quantity surveying roles for various residential projects with a building contractor. She later joined another main contractor and worked as Site Quantity Surveyor for a hospital project in Cheras. Seeking a more diverse experience, she subsequently joined a project management company and collaborated closely with Clients and Consultants contributing to projects ranging from hospital, hotel, international school and universities.

In 2013, Norlina broadened her work experience by accepting a position in Brunei, as a quantity surveyor with an international quantity surveying firm navigating the complexities of a high-profile project, the construction of a new military camp for the Ministry of Defence for the Government of Brunei.

Upon returning home in 2015, Norlina joined a quantity surveying firm working on the KVMRT project, then she joined a renowned earthworks and infrastructures contractor, where she played a key role in managing claims for major infrastructure works, such as the Petronas’s RAPID Pengerang projects, in Johor worth RM250 million and the Central Spine Road (CSR) projects by the JKR valued at RM121 million.

Norlina recently joined CSi in 2023, and was immediately appointed to a range of matters, from loss and expense to variation order claims, retainer services, as well as assisting Partners in adjudication and arbitration proceedings.. Recent roles include defending a main contractor in an adjudication involving a retaining wall contract for a high-rise project in Petaling Jaya, Selangor and retainer services for a high-rise residential project in Cheras, Selangor.

Norlina is a registered Provisional Quantity Surveyor certified by the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM) and a Student Member of Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyor (RICS). She is currently pursuing her second bachelor’s degree in legal studies.
